Ari James connects with Kapok and Sophia Danai for new single, “Enjoy the Ride”

Canadian artist Ari James has shared a fresh new single called “Enjoy the Ride”, featuring Kapok and Sophia Danai. The multi-talented James, who began as a producer before pursuing a solo career in music, follows up previous releases “Juxtaposed” and “Fallin Over” with this latest offering, which finds him expanding upon his genre-bending, infectious sound to make for a colorful and character-rich listen.

Balmy guitars open the track, merging with an addictive rhythm section to give this track a warm, inviting groove. As the beat builds, the listener is immersed in the track’s atmospherics, soaking them in a sunny ambiance that grabs a hold and doesn’t let go until the track is complete. A suitable track for summer evenings, “Enjoy the Ride” inspires one to kick back and relax, and reflect upon their path in life and how they got to where they are now.

The vocal performances here are stellar as well. The three artists showcase a natural chemistry, as their contributions flow together seamlessly, while also contrasting each other in an engaging manner. A solid, balanced mixture of melodic R&B vocals and lyrical rap verses, “Enjoy the Ride” is a track that is simply easy to put on, and zone out in a state of thoughtful bliss.

Regarding the track, James says, “a little less than a year ago I found myself invited to an artist retreat at Headspace Recording Studios, I was paired up with Kapok and Sophia Danai and when I initially showed them this song as an instrumental, we all immediately began to write about the same topic: the inner reflection of all that you have gone through, and its necessity to have gotten you where you are today. We wrote and recorded the entire song in 3hrs, and it’s my most important and impactful song yet.”
