Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
My most recent release is my single “Update” which is on my upcoming tape scheduled to drop later this year. My most recent tape out is “It Takes Pape To Play” which dropped last October. What inspired me to create them are things that are currently happening in my life and things that are relevant to what’s going on in the real world.

What is unique about you and your music?
My music is unique because it is authentic, versatile, and creative. I also think my production is very distinctive and plays a vital role in my music.

What shaped your music?
Growing up in Detroit shaped my music a lot. Just seeing a lot and always wanting to be one of the best helped me articulate my style.

When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I realized I would make music professionally right after my first song dropped. Ever since then IT’S BEEN UP!

What type of music do you listen to?
I listen to a lot of rap and R&B, (a lot of artists from my city) and, Future, Drake, Lil Baby, EST Gee. SZA, Brent Faiyaz, Summer Walker.

What inspires you to write music?
Living inspires me to write music. Knowing how many people’s lives I’ve affected has been inspirational in my music making process. The connections and network I’ve built still inspires me to rap.

What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
I play basketball, video games, and read. I love learning and try to learn something new everyday. I don’t feel like my days are complete if I don’t learn or accomplish something everyday.

Happiness to you is…
Happiness to me is making music and being able to be in control of my situation. It’s some people who can’t get their voice out here so even having that privilege keeps me going hard.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
I wish I was told to stay super consistent and familiarize yourself with a variance of cadences.

Tell us about your upcoming projects…
My upcoming projects are nothing but fire. I have some club songs, flashy songs, tik tok songs…Etc. We’ve been working hard to put together a masterpiece.
