Meet Rising Artist Zeal Static

What is your name and what city do you rep?

My name is Zeal Static, I am originally from Fiji, currently based in Melbourne, Australia and just repping the global Hip Hop culture.

Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?

Basically as a rap artist who loves the Hip Hop culture, I wanted to contribute to it and tell people my story while they vibe to my music.

What is unique about you and your music?

In every song I make I don’t just focus on one topic, I touch base on many and I write my songs about what I have done or accomplished. I don’t talk about things I haven’t done or achieved and I won’t talk about it until I have done it, for example I am rapping about guns now, as now I am part of a gun club and always at the range, target practicing, using different guns and building my skills, where as in the past I couldn’t speak on these things as it wouldn’t be authentic.

What shaped your music?

I have to attribute the changes to the rappers/ artists I listen to and who inspire me and made me adjust or shape my music. I used to be stuck on old school and 90’s rap/ hip hop but coming into the new generation of rap genres like drill, I had to switch up and change my style while still keep ing my story telling elements.

When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?

I always played around making music since high school days and so I would delve in and out working on different projects like mixtapes, singles etc I never pursued it on a professional level or consistently until I was financially stable to fund every project, thats when I started making music professionally, using producers and engineers to create a well polished song.

What type of music do you listen to?

I am very picky on the type of music or genre I listen to, it could go from Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Madonna to Rakim, Tupac, Kevin Gates and Pop Smoke. If I can relate to the artist or the song, melody or beat resonates with me, I can vibe to that.

What inspires you to write music?

I draw inspiration from my life, what I experience or go through in life, from my travels, the people around me and the wider global community.

What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?

I am a hustler if I am not making music, I am making business moves or I am doing TikTok videos or just reading a good book.

Happiness to you is…

when I am with my family and loved ones, we are at peace and there is no drama and my woman and I

are supporting each other and fulfilling each others needs.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?

I wish there was companies like UnitedMasters who backed independent artists and also guidance from industry folks  on how to record, release, distribute and market a release.

Tell us about your upcoming projects…

I am planning to drop a single every month along with the music video and also I have up coming music video shoots whichI am looking forward to, so its going to be a busy year.

Where do we find you music / music projects?

You can find my music on Youtube, Spotify, Apple Music and all streaming platforms.
